Logan being ADHD had to go back with most of his subjects. Working with Practical Language Learning, conducting one to one sessions, they helped him develop his own way to learn. Logan now enjoys learning and looks forward to his lessons. Logan was able to improve his Afrikaans and other subjects very quickly and ended up with very good marks to pass Grade 7.

Safety – what we do to keep our tutors and clients safe

Screening of our clients
All clients need to provide their physical address and ID number. We require upfront payment to ensure our clients are legitimate, and to protect our tutors.
Screening of our tutors
Tutors need to provide contact details, physical address, education history and two references. Tutors must also provide their ID / work permit (if foreign), Matric Certificate or equivalent, and university transcript. Tutors need to obtain a Police Clearance Certificate, to protect you, the client.
Tutoring process
After the first lesson we contact both the client and the tutor to ascertain the success of the lesson.

If a client is unhappy with a tutor, or a tutor unhappy with the client, we will first change the tutor. If either are still not satisfied, we cancel the lessons and refund the client.

Lessons are payable in advance. Lesson schedule agreed upon on a monthly basis.

Lessons are confirmed and begin on receipt of payment.

Terms and Conditions
  1. Lessons are payable in advance. Invoices will be sent one week before the end of the current package. If payment is not made by the date on which the new package is to begin, lessons will unfortunately have to be suspended until payment is received.
  2. Cancellations need to be made 24 hours before the starting time of the lesson either telephonically or by email. When a lesson is cancelled it can be rescheduled for a time convenient to the tutor and client.
  3. If lessons are completed intermittently, the tutor is not required to ‘reserve’ specific days and times indefinitely, or accommodate last-minute lesson requests. Please plan ahead as far as possible.
  4. If a tutor, learner or client is late for a lesson, all parties needs to agree that the lesson end later. If that is not possible, the lost time should be made up at a future date by being added onto another lesson.
  5. Lesson venues may not be changed without notice. Tutors are assigned clients and rates according to their proximity to their clients, and this can be affected by a change of venue.
  6. Lessons that have been completed may not be refunded.
  7. Improvements in results are not guaranteed. We are committed to doing our best to help our learners. We will seek out and use any and every resource to make learning as effective as possible, but tutoring is a partnership. Learners need to be committed to actively participating during lessons, doing homework, and doing their best at school as well as during and after lessons.
  8. Payment of the invoice confirms that these terms and conditions have been read and accepted by the client.
