Trauma-Informed Facilitation for Social Justice
Practical tools for safer community conversations
Drawing from township programmes, participants learn to identify trauma triggers, establish safety protocols, apply grounding exercises, handle disclosures without re-traumatisation, and debrief effectively for self-care. NGOs leave with templates and an action plan to hold impactful community conversations on systemic injustice.
Siyakha Social Solutions (SSS) is a community-based social impact organisation that works to advance human rights, gender justice, and inclusive development in under‑resourced South African communities. Through a combination of youth leadership development, civic education, psychosocial support, and economic empowerment initiatives, SSS creates safe spaces for young people and community members can co‑design local solutions. Programmes are rights‑based, intersectional, and trauma‑informed, centring the voices of those most affected by injustice while building practical skills for advocacy, storytelling, and community organising.
