Democratising Submissions
Making public submissions more accessible
Submissions to government and international organisations are crucial for making our voices heard and securing our rights, but the process can be daunting and vague, and often the only people who have the ear of government are the ones with the time and resources to do so.
We want to change that, by empowering participants to put together the basic components of submissions to State entities (like Parliament, DBE/DOH/DHA/Treasury) and international rights watchdogs (e.g. UNCRC, UNHRW).
Equal Education Law Centre is a youth-led mass democratic movement comprising of learners, post-school youth, parents, teachers and community members. Equal Education Law Centre is one of the leading grassroots voices on education and youth related matters in the country that uses mobilization and public action, supported by evidence based research, to empower young activists and ensure equality in South African education. Our movement holds a special place in our country’s civil society and youth space, operating across five provinces.
